For cloud API models (GPT, Claude, Gemini), any modern machine is fine — the heavy lifting happens on the provider's side. For local models via Ollama, a machine with at least 16 GB RAM and a recent GPU is recommended. Smaller quantised models (Phi-3, Mistral 7B) run well on MacBooks with Apple Silicon or mid-range PCs.
AGI-ONE Personal runs entirely on your machine or a server you control. Your knowledge base, chat history and documents never leave your environment. When you use cloud API models, only the specific prompt/response is sent to that provider (same as using ChatGPT directly) — nothing else is shared. For full privacy, run Ollama locally and zero data leaves your machine.
